On Working with Individuals with Autism

Autism comes with a wealth of innate abilities that can be overlooked when the world focuses on the relative deficits. I reject the myth that the best thing for folks on the spectrum is to simply learn how to function more like their neurotypical peers. Their greatest potential depends on them learning how to function in ways that engage their unique strengths, rather than trying to fit them into a mold that disregards those assets.
