Well, I said I’d continually re-assess appropriate measures for preventing the spread of COVID-19, and so it has come to pass. After waking up with a scratchy throat yesterday (which, honestly, is more than likely due to pollen), I decided it wasn’t worth the risk in case I or one of my clients turned out to have mild or no symptoms but were spreading the virus nonetheless. It’s time for me to model social responsibility and do my part to #flattenthecurve.

So for at least a few weeks, I am joining a growing number of my colleagues and shifting to only doing sessions via teletherapy. While this is not preferable when compared to face-to-face, I have so far been pleasantly surprised at how seemlessly my clients (and myself) have adapted to this new medium. We’re definitely making it work and there honestly does not seem to be any reason why my clients can’t still get the full benefit from the time we (virtually) spend together.

Stay healthy everyone, and wash those hands!
